What Affects the Value of My MacBook?

Model & Age

Newer models are worth more, but MacBooks depreciate slower than almost any other laptop. Apple silicon models (2020 onwards) hold value far better than older Intel MacBooks.

Processor

M-series chip tier (Air vs Pro / Pro vs Max) can affect demand. The chip is the single biggest price driver. An M4 or M5 MacBook is worth substantially more than an M1.

RAM & Storage
