The iPhone Duo reaches UK buyers on 23 October 2026, and we will be quoting for it from launch day. If you are funding one by selling your current phone, you can get a fixed price for that today and have the cash before the Duo arrives. Browse every other iPhone model we buy to get started.
When you can sell an iPhone Duo
Apple announced the Duo on 9 September 2026. UK pre-orders open on 16 October and the first handsets reach customers on 23 October. Until then there are no Duos in the country to sell, so any site quoting a firm second-hand price for one is guessing. We will price the Duo from the day it lands, across all four capacities: 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB. Use the quote tool above to see the current position.
Funding a Duo by selling the phone you have
The Duo starts at £1,999 and runs to £3,199 for the 2TB model, which makes it the most expensive iPhone Apple has sold. Most people buying one will put an existing handset towards it. That phone is worth more this month than it will be next. Resale values across the range soften in the weeks after a launch, as upgraders flood the second-hand market with the models they are replacing. Selling before the 23 October rush, rather than after it, is worth real money. Quote your current device on the iPhone 18 range or the iPhone 17 range page. Payment lands the same day we receive it, so the cash is with you before your pre-order ships.
Do foldable phones hold their value?
This is the fair question to ask before spending £1,999 on a folding phone, and the honest answer is that foldables depreciate faster than conventional flagships. They have moving parts, a screen that can fail along the fold, and a smaller pool of second-hand buyers. The public market data shows the shape of it. A Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, roughly a year old, currently trades around £500 to £646 on UK comparison sites. A Z Fold4, three years old, sits nearer £101 to £209. A conventional flagship of the same age holds a noticeably higher share of its original price. Two things work in the Duo’s favour. It is Apple’s first foldable, and first-generation Apple hardware tends to hold interest longer than the market average. It also runs the same A20 Pro chip as the iPhone 18 Pro, so it will stay current on software for years. [Add vendi’s own payout comparison here once there is real Duo data. Team to confirm.] If you already own a folding phone and are moving to the Duo, get a quote on the Samsung Galaxy page. We buy the Z Fold range.
What a foldable phone needs for a top grade
A folding phone is graded differently from a flat one. The screen bends, so it has failure points no other iPhone has, and these are what any buyer checks first.
• The hinge. It should open and close smoothly and hold its position. Grinding, stiffness or a gap when closed all reduce the grade.
• The inner screen crease. A visible line down the fold is normal on every foldable and does not count against you. Discolouration, flickering or dead pixels along it do.
• The cover screen. The 5.4-inch outer display takes the everyday knocks, so it usually shows wear before the inner one.
• Dust and grit. Particles working into the hinge are the most common cause of long-term failure on foldables. Keeping it out of pockets with keys and coins protects your resale value.
Everything else follows the standard grades: storage, battery health at 80% or above, network lock and original packaging for the NEW (sealed) grade.
What is different about selling a Duo
The Duo drops two things every previous iPhone had, and both affect selling it. It uses Touch ID in the side button rather than Face ID, so the biometric setup is different but the wipe process is not. It is also eSIM-only, with no physical SIM tray. There is no card to remove before posting it, though you do still need to remove the eSIM profile, which sits in Settings under Mobile Service. Beyond that, preparation is the same as any iPhone. Back up, sign out of your Apple Account, turn off Find My iPhone, then erase the device.

Where is the best place to sell an iPhone Duo?
A Duo is the highest-value handset in the range, which changes the calculation. On a phone worth four figures, the gap between a headline offer and what actually reaches your account is large, and the risk of selling privately is larger still.
On a device this valuable, a fixed quote from a verified UK company removes most of the risk. We pay the full amount in cash, the same day.
